US-based Auto Care Association says it does not support the new right-to-repair agreement

The association objects to the pact between the ASA, the SCRS and the Alliance for Automotive Innovation, saying it is an attempt to confuse lawmakers and drivers

Auto Care Association, a US-based industry body representing independent manufacturers, distributors and repair shops, announced in a press release dated July 11 that it objects to the “so-called right-to-repair pact between the Automotive Service Association (ASA), the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) and the Alliance for Automotive Innovation,” saying that it was not consulted about, was not a party to and does not support the agreement.
