Mainland Chinese automakers are making significant progress in Europe in search of growth, as they grapple with overproduction in their home market and high tariffs in the US. Mainland China’s vehicle exports set a record in 2025 at 7.1 million units, rising 21% year over year. Mainland Chinese automakers’ effort to expand their global footprint presence have led to exports more than doubled from 3.32 million in 2022.
