Amid disruption in trade, the US aftermarket slows in 2025 but continues to be resilient as Americans stay on the road despite high fuel prices, persistent inflation and rising maintenance costs.

The US light vehicle automotive aftermarket grew at a slower pace in 2025 than a year earlier amid a challenging environment for businesses and consumers. The challenges came mostly from uncertainty around trade, continued supply chain disruptions and rising energy costs, the latest industry data has revealed.
