The UK’s push for fully autonomous vehicles could make it the second-largest robo-taxi fleet market in Europe.

Driverless-ride service Waymo announced Oct. 15 that it plans to launch its fully autonomous ride-hailing service in London in 2026. The news put a spotlight on autonomous driving technology in Europe, which has been slower than the US or mainland China in adopting self-driving cars.
