Sumitomo Rubber launches Japan's first RFID-equipped commercial tire
Company launches replacement tire series with radio frequency identification for EV city bus and taxis.
Japan-based Sumitomo Rubber Industries has announced that it is the first manufacturer in Japan to release commercially available tires equipped with radio frequency identification (RFID), which enables individual tire identification, according to a press release dated Oct. 13.
