Italy proposes to cut automotive industry support by €4.6 billion for 2025–2030

The Italian government, led by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, has proposed a reduction of nearly €4.6 billion in funding initially allocated to support the country’s automotive industry between 2025 and 2030. The move, announced at a time when the European automotive industry is facing sluggish vehicle demand, is said to significantly impact the turnaround plans of vehicle manufacturers, especially Stellantis, in Italy.
