The service industry cautions against complacency toward investing in a skilled workforce to service electric vehicles following the government’s relaxation of EV targets and allowing full hybrids and plug-in hybrids to be sold until 2035.

The UK government in an April statement announced major changes to its zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) mandate to make it easier for the auto industry to upgrade to electric vehicles while confirming the 2030 phaseout date for purely internal combustion engine (ICE) cars.
