Rising platinum group metal costs, driven by global supply issues, may impact catalytic converter prices, advises BM Catalysts.

BM Catalysts, the UK's largest independent manufacturer of catalytic converters, DPFs, and front pipes, is advising the aftermarket to brace for increased cost pressures as raw material prices rise again. The costs for platinum group metals (PGMs) — rhodium, palladium and platinum — are particularly volatile, leading to potential price adjustments across the catalytic converter range in the coming months, the company says.
