Geotab launches fuel management tools to curb fleet costs and fraud exposure

New platform features connect fuel card data with vehicle diagnostics and distinguish operational idling from avoidable fuel use, aiming to improve fleet efficiency and oversight

Geotab introduced two new tools aimed at reducing fuel-related costs: Fuel Transactions and a Preventable Idling Rule with automatic power take-off (PTO) identification. Fuel remains one of the largest operating expenses for fleets, accounting for more than 20% of total costs.
